MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — After the West Virginia Mountaineers shattered preseason expectations by finishing 8-4 overall and 6-3 in the Big 12 Conference, it was thought that Neal Brown could potentially be in line to win the conference Coach of the Year Award.
Moments ago, the Big 12 Conference announced that Oklahoma State’s head coach, Mike Gundy, was named the Chuck Neinas Coach of the Year after leading the Cowboys to a 9-3 overall record and a 7-2 record in the Big 12, as well as a Big 12 Championship game appearance.
