CBS Sports does not see the Mountaineers as the best College Football team in the state of West Virginia.
Morgantown, WV – We are now less than three weeks away from the start of College Football season. Outlets all across America are gearing up for their coverage of the best game on the planet this fall.
CBS Sports recently revealed who they deem the best College Football team in each state in the United States going into 2023. For the Mountain State, the team the outlet picked is downright laughable for Mountaineer fans.

Marshall, who finished with a 9-4 record in 2022, was picked as the best team in the State of West Virginia. While they may have finished with a better record than WVU, they did so against one of the easiest schedules in the nation. They will once again play an easy schedule in 2023 while WVU faces the 3rd toughest schedule in College Football, according to On3.
Let’s also not forget to mention WVU is 12-0 against the Herd all-time. In the long run, there really isn’t any debate as to who the “little brother” is.
