Colorado and Houston to Visit West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, the Big 12 Conference announced the conference schedules for all teams through 2027.

Next season, the Mountaineers will play Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State and UCF at home, while traveling to play Arizona, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. In 2025, the Mountaineers will play Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes at home, as well as TCU, Texas Tech and Utah, while playing Arizona State, BYU, Houston, Kansas and UCF on the road.

West Virginia will play Dana Holgorsen’s (if he’s still the head coach) Houston Cougars in 2026 at home. In addition, the Mountaineers will play Arizona, Cincinnati, Kansas and Oklahoma State in Morgantown while traveling to play Iowa State, TCU, Texas Tech and Utah on the road.

“As we look towards the future of this Conference, we are thrilled to introduce the first football scheduling matrix for the new-look Big 12,” said Commissioner Brett Yormark. “I’m grateful to our membership for their support throughout the scheduling process. In this model, competitive balance and student-athlete wellness was prioritized. Rivalries will be protected and new matchups will be introduced – the excitement and parity this Conference is known for will continue for years to come.”
