Morgantown, WV – Former WVU Receiver Daikiel Shorts is on track to land his first major coaching job at a Power Five program. According to John Brice of FootballScoop, Shorts is “being targeted” as the next wide receivers coach for the University of Kentucky.

Shorts, who played for WVU from 2013 to 2016, spent the first years of his coaching career under Dana Holgorsen at the University of Houston. He tallied 176 receptions for 2,246 yards and 17 touchdowns during his Mountaineer career.
