Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers are favored by 2 points today against the Maryland Terrapins in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. In addition, virtually every college basketball expert from around the nation has picked the Mountaineers to win as well.

Earlier today, former West Virginia point guard Jordan McCabe weighed in on who he thought would win the game. McCabe, who transferred to UNLV last season, averaged 5.5 points and 1.8 assists per game for the Rebels this season.

UNLV’s season is over but it appears that McCabe will now cheer on his former team. McCabe made the following prediction on social media today: “73-60 Eers. (Erik) Stevenson with 28 points and a technical (foul) that somehow makes the country fall in love with him!”

Let’s hope McCabe’s prediction comes true today! The Mountaineers are currently 2.5 point favorites. If they win today, it will likely set up a matchup against the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
