Former West Virginia Player Says the Mountaineers Will Win the Rest of Their Games This Season

Morgantown, West Virginia – After starting the season 0-2 with losses at Pitt and at home against Kansas, there isn’t much hope or optimism surrounding the West Virginia football program right now.

However, one former player believes that the Mountaineers are still going to have a tremendous season.

Shelton Gibson, who played at West Virginia from 2014-2016, predicts West Virginia will go undefeated in the last 10 games of the season.

“WVU (is) going to win out,” Gibson said on his personal social media account. “Don’t let these (first two) games dictate your season!”

Gibson caught 84 passes for 1,898 yards and 17 touchdowns in his three seasons with the Mountaineers before playing in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, Washington Football Team and Carolina Panthers.

Although West Virginia is an underdog in every remaining game except for tomorrow’s game at home against Towson, it’s good to see that someone still believes in the Mountaineers and their ability to turn their season around!
