Hershey McLaurin Commits to Big 12 Foe

MORGANTOWN, WV – Earlier today, former WVU Safety Hershey McLaurin announced his commitment to the Houston Cougars, via X.

McLaurin entered the NCAA Transfer Portal prior to WVU’s victory over North Carolina in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. In 24 career games with the Mountaineers, he tallied 89 tackles, 7 TFLs, 3 pass breakups, and 0.5 sacks.

Two Mountaineers have now transferred within the Big 12. McLaurin joins Jared Bartlett who committed to the Cincinnati Bearcats yesterday.
