Houston, TX – Following the firing of Dana Holgorsen, the Houston Cougars were on the search for their next head football coach. Many candidates were rumored to be connected with the opening. It took only one week for the school to find their guy as the university announced they have inked their 16th coach in program history this morning.

According to a press release from the school, Houston has officially hired Tulane Head Coach Willie Fritz in the same position.

Fritz finished with 54-47 record with the Green Wave.
