Jevon Carter and Bob Huggins Receive Praise from Charles Barkley and TNT Crew

Following the Phoenix Suns’ win against the 128-102 win over the Dallas Mavericks in their season finale, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal showed the highlights of the game on the TNT show “Inside the NBA.”

Kenny Smith said, “I love that guy from West Virginia.  What’s his name?”  Ernie Johnson replied, “Jevon Carter” and Smith yelled out “JEVON CARTER!”

Charles Barkley added, “Shout out to my boy Bob Huggins!  Love me some Bob Huggins!”

Barkley and Huggins are friends and have spent time on the golf course together.  Recently, Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari had a conversation with Barkley on his show called “Coffee with Cal” and Huggins came up.

“I got one question,” Calipari said. “You played with Bob Huggins. Did he ever lose a ball? I’ve been with him when I saw a splash and he’d go down and say, ‘I found it!’ I’m like, I saw it splash, what do you mean you found it?”

“Bobby’s one of those guys who are going to hit the ball three fairways over and you can hear a couple whacks at it and then when it gets to the green, he’s putting for birdies,” Barkley said. “It was amazing.”

Although it sounds like Huggins is a bit of a cheater on the golf course, Bob Huggins and Jevon Carter are two of the greatest West Virginia Mountaineers ever!
