Today, during his COVID-19 press briefing, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice announced that bars in Monongalia County will be allowed to reopen on October 13th.

The bars will be required to follow very strict guidelines. Should any bar fail to do so, a suspension of their license will become possible.

Justice decided to close bars in Monongalia County after Morgantown became one of the hardest hit areas in the entire state. Now that numbers have began to level off, things can begin to open up with safety in mind.
