Morgantown, West Virginia – Earlier today, former West Virginia punter turned sports media icon Pat McAfee interviewed Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer.
However, during the live interview, the West Virginia Mountaineers basketball team was in the closing minutes of its quarterfinal game of the Big 12 Tournament against Oklahoma State.
McAfee, a huge Mountaineer sports fan, couldn’t concentrate on the interview with Poyer because he was so focused on the West Virginia game. In the clip below, you can clearly see McAfee paying far more attention to the basketball game than to his guest! Check it out:

Later, McAfee apologized to Poyer, saying, “I apologize to Jordan Poyer for this absolutely TERRIBLE LIVE INTERVIEW MOMENT!”
West Virginia will now wait for the NCAA Selection Committee to decide their fate in the NCAA Tournament. Most current projections have the Mountaineers as anywhere from a 3 seed to a 5 seed in the tournament.
