MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — In his first game with the Kentucky Wildcats, Tre Mitchell showed why he was so highly-sought-after in the transfer portal.
Mitchell, who averaged 11.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Mountaineers last season, had 20 points on 4-6 from three point range while adding 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the Wildcats’ exhibition opener against Team Germany in the GlobalJam Challenge.
Following the game, Mitchell said that he’ll be ready when Kentucky plays in big games this season: “I’ve played a lot of basketball, been in front of a lot of crowds and big moments.”
