West Virginia Adds Key Piece to Defense

Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia Mountaineers have landed a key piece to their defense by adding Marques “Hershey” McLaurin.

McLaurin, a defensive back from Friendship, Mississippi, recently entered the transfer portal after playing two seasons at Jones College.  Last season, he was a second team All-MACCC player and this season, he started all ten games for Jones College, finishing with 19 solo tackles, 17 assisted (36 total) and 5 interceptions.

West Virginia desperately needs help in their secondary and Hershey McLaurin is the type of player that can immediately step in and either start or get major snaps for the Mountaineers next season.
