West Virginia Beats Bellarmine

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — The West Virginia Mountaineers had a more challenging game than they expected and battled back and forth with Bellarmine throughout the second half, ultimately winning 62-56 in the WVU Coliseum.

The Mountaineers were led by Jesse Edwards, who had 17 points and 14 rebounds, Quinn Slazinski, who had 14 points and 5 rebounds and Kobe Johnson, who finished with 13 points. Freshman Ofri Naveh had a career high 10 points and 6 rebounds.

The Mountaineers are back in action on Friday, December 1 against the Rick Pitino-led St. John’s Red Storm. The game starts at 7:00PM inside the WVU Coliseum.
