West Virginia Dominates UCF in Orlando

ORLANDO, Florida — The West Virginia Mountaineers came into Orlando as 7 point underdogs and put together a really impressive performance, defeating the UCF Knights, 41-28.

West Virginia was led by another outstanding, gutsy performance from starting quarterback Garrett Greene, who finished the game 14/22 for 156 yards through the air and had 11 rushes for 55 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. The Mountaineers were dominant on the ground, rushing for 289 yards and 5 touchdowns total. CJ Donaldson led the Mountaineers on the ground with 16 carries for 119 yards and 1 touchdown and freshman Jahiem White finished with 9 carries for 85 yards and 1 touchdown.. Wide receiver Devin Carter had 3 receptions for 47 yards, Preston Fox had 3 receptions for 33 yards and tight end Kole Taylor added 4 receptions for 26 yards to led West Virginia in receiving.

The Mountaineers are back in action next weekend against the BYU Cougars, who are currently 5-2 overall and play the Texas Longhorns later today in Austin, Texas.
