MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — The West Virginia Mountaineers may have clinched a trip to the NCAA Tournament tonight in the WVU Coliseum, taking care of business against the TCU Horned Frogs, winning 73-55 to move to 17-11 overall and 8-9 in the Big 12 Conference. With the win, the Mountaineers are still likely considered to be on the NCAA Tournament Bubble; however, the Bubble is weak this season and barring a complete collapse in the final 3 regular season games, West Virginia will be dancing in March!

Tonight, the Mountaineers were led by a tremendous performance by senior guard Javon Small, who finished the game with 23 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds. Point guard Sencire Harris had 12 points and 5 rebounds, Amani Hansberry had 9 points and 5 rebounds, and Joseph Yesufu added 14 points and 4 rebounds off the bench.

PLAY OF THE GAME

West Virginia will now travel to Utah to play the #25 ranked BYU Cougars on Saturday, March 1st, and then the Utah Utes led by former WVU Interim Head Coach Josh Eilert on Tuesday, March 4th before returning home for the season finale against UCF on Saturday, March 8th.
