MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — According to Hoppy Kercheval of MetroNews, former West Virginia great Dale Wolfley has passed away. “Former Mountaineer football player and broadcaster Dale Wolfley has died. Reports indicate he died in his sleep last night. No other details available.”
Wolfley, 56, played offensive guard for the Mountaineers and was the player’s personnel director for West Virginia under Bill Stewart. In addition, he served as a broadcaster for various West Virginia media oultets and most recently starred in his own YouTube show.
Rest in peace, Wolfman.
