West Virginia Lands International Talent

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, the West Virginia Mountaineers added a talented young international player to its depleted roster.

Ofri Naveh, a 6’7 guard from Israel, played for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv’s Under 18 Team this past season, where he averaged 4.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. However, Naveh is an outstanding talent and had interest from programs such as Marquette, Butler, Wake Forest, Overtime Elite and others.

Naveh has been a big part of Israel’s team so far in the U18 European Championship this summer, averaging 10.8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game.

Naveh, who is only 18 years old, is considered an NBA prospect and will be eligible for the NBA Draft until 2027.
