West Virginia Native Writes “Morgantown”, the Song

Morgantown, West Virginia – When Leslie, West Virginia native Seth Burke drove his daughter Lauren to Morgantown to begin school at West Virginia University, it was a very challenging time for him as a father.

While he was extremely proud of his daughter, it was difficult to drop her off back in August to start as a freshman at WVU. On his way back home, something started stirring in his mind and he wrote “Morgantown”, a song about his experience as a father dropping off his daughter at college, which is something that many parents can relate to.

Burke, a car salesman from Greenbrier County who has been writing music for approximately 8 years, says this song is particularly meaningful to him. Please give “Morgantown” a listen below, give him a follow on YouTube and let him know your thoughts!
