West Virginia versus Pitt Opening Line Released

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pitt Panthers will meet on September 16th in The Backyard Brawl at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Pitt, 1-0, opened the season with a 45-7 blowout win at home against Wofford and will play Cincinnati on Saturday at home in their second game of the season. West Virginia, 0-1, lost 38-15 on the road against the #7 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions in the season opener and will play Duquesne in Week 2 on Saturday in Morgantown.

The opening line for the Week 3 matchup was just released and the Mountaineers will be underdogs at home against Pitt, according to Vegas insiders. The opening line was Pitt -1, West Virginia +1, meaning that Pitt is currently favored to win by one point.

Although West Virginia is an underdog right now, it’s very likely that the line will jump around and will be closer to Even before the game actually takes place on September 16th.
