West Virginia vs Cincinnati Gameday Predictions

The Voice of Morgantown’s staff picks the winner of today’s game against the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Cincinnati Bearcats.

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia —  The West Virginia Mountaineers (6-4, 4-3) host the last place Cincinnati Bearcats (3-7, 1-6) in another huge Big 12 Conference game for Neal Brown and the Mountaineers. West Virginia is currently a 4.5 point favorite to win today. Here’s how our experts think the game will play out today:

Wyatt Coffman, Graphic Designer, The Voice of Morgantown, 3-3

This is a huge game for WVU and Neal Brown must prove that he can beat bad teams at home. Neal needs to finish 8-4 this season to secure his future at WVU, at least for one more year. I think that the Mountaineer defense will show up strong and that Garrett Greene will put on a good performance. West Virginia might struggle initially but I believe that they will pull away and win comfortably.

Brayden Cline, Writer, The Voice of Morgantown, 1-1

WVU continues to be inconsistent and Neal Brown comes out and calls another fantastic game against another horrible team. Story of the season, offense thrives, defense still looks horrible. But the Mountaineer still pull away from this one on Senior Day and for Don Nehlen.

Clark Johnson, Senior Writer, The Voice of Morgantown, 7-3

It’s a beautiful day to honor a legend. Let’s Go Mountaineers!

Brad Smith, Publisher, The Voice of Morgantown, 6-4

It’s truly unbelievable that the Mountaineers are only favored by 4.5 points at home on Senior Day against the last place team in the Big 12 Conference, who has a 3-7 overall record and a 1-6 record in the Big 12. This shows how far the mighty have fallen under Neal Brown. I don’t think CJ Donaldson plays today and that could really hurt the running game, although Jahiem White is certainly very capable. I wouldn’t be shocked if Cincinnati pulls the upset, but I’ll take West Virginia at home against a really bad Bearcats team in an ugly one today.
