WVU Considered Most Viable Option for ACC

WVU is considered a “viable option” for the ACC should they expand.

Morgantown, WV – With conference realignment fully underway, the ACC is said to be a league that will look into expansion. As first reported by 247Sports, Florida State is on the market to leave the league, being an attractive candidate for both the Big Ten and SEC.

This will leave the ACC scrambling to find schools that could fit in and fill the void left by the Seminoles.

According to Brandon Marcello of 247Sports, WVU will be one of the “most viable options” when the ACC decides to expand. SMU, who is a member of the American Athletic Conference, was listed alongside the Mountaineers.

Of course, this is only speculation. Fans should expect conference realignment talk to continue throughout the season.
