WVU Linebacker Lands in the ACC

Morgantown, WV – After entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, it only too WVU Linebacker James Heard a little over a week to find his new home. Moments ago, the former 247Sports three-star prospect announced that he has committed to Syracuse, via X.

Heard was a true freshman in 2023. After not registering any stats, the New Jersey native announced his intentions to enter the portal on December 9th.

With a plethora of potential, Heard was expected to become a key contributor for WVU’s defense as early as next year. Expect Neal Brown and company to hit the transfer portal hard to find his replacement in the coming weeks.
