Bob Huggins Appears at Court on DUI Charge

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Last month, former West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins was arrested for DUI after blowing a 0.21 on a breathalyzer. The following day, he resigned as the head coach of the Mountaineers and his legendary career was over.

This morning, according to Hoppy Kercheval of MetroNews, Huggins, 69, appeared briefly in a Pittsburgh City court on a DUI charge. This was a preliminary hearing and his arraignment is set for August 17.

It’s unclear whether Huggins has checked into rehab or sought help for his alleged drinking problem since his arrest.
