Coach Billy Hahn Has Died

Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, it was confirmed that long-time West Virginia assistant Billy Hahn has passed away at the age of 69.

Hahn, who was an assistant for the Mountaineers from 2007-2017, coached and recruited 19 future NBA players and made numerous NCAA Tournament appearances during his long career.

Hahn recently expressed interest in returning to coaching, but suffered a major heart attack this past week. Hahn was truly one of the good guys in the sport of college basketball and will be missed greatly by Mountaineer Nation and all of the players and coaches he worked with over the years.

Rest in Peace, dawg.

“Great day to be alive. Count your blessings. If you are praying, you are not worrying. If you are worrying, you are not praying.”

– Billy Hahn
