Morgantown, WV – Following their first 9-win season since 2016, many are beginning to take notice of the West Virginia Mountaineers. It has been speculated that the team will finish in the AP Top 25. Many analysts, including Brett McMurphy of Action Network, have included WVU in their personal final Top 25 polls of the season.
Earlier today, ESPN Analyst Dan Mullen shared his final Top 25 via X. The Mountaineers were featured at 20th in his poll, above fellow Big 12 member Kansas who came in at 25th.

With the Mountaineers garnering so much respect around the nation, there is a solid chance that they will sneak their way into the Top 25. A final AP ranking would mark the first time since WVU has been included in the Top 25 since 2018 – Will Grier’s final season in Morgantown.
