Davis Mallinger Finds New Home

MORGANTOWN, WV – Moments ago, former WVU Safety/Wide Receiver Davis Mallinger officially announced his commitment to the Nevada Wolfpack.

Mallinger, a member of the 2021 recruiting class, appeared in 14 career games. He spent his time primarily at safety, but moved to wide receiver during the 2023 offseason.

Though he did not tally any statistics as a receiver, the Florida native racked up 28 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks as a defender.

Mallinger entered the transfer portal prior to WVU’s regular season finale against Baylor.
