Huggins Lands Talented Guard

Morgantown, West Virginia – Moments ago, Josiah Davis, a 6’3 guard out of Teays Valley Christian in Scott Depot, West Virginia, committed to play basketball for West Virginia University.

Davis, a 2022 recruit originally from Ontario, Canada, averaged 13 points per game as a sophomore last season.  Davis’ head coach at Teay Valley Christian, Travis Tarr, told MetroNews that West Virginia fans will love Davis.

“He is a bulldog. Josiah was a recruit that we got to see during the summer last year and he was a combo guard. He plays naturally off the ball. But he knows for him to get to the next level, he has to be a point guard.”

The Mountaineers have also offered Davis’ teammate, Jerome Beya, a talented 6’9 power forward, who is currently an under-the-radar three star prospect with huge upside.  Perhaps now that Davis has signed, Beya will follow in his teammate’s footsteps.

Welcome home, Josiah!
