Projections Have WVU Bowling in Orlando

ESPN projects that WVU will participate in the Pop-Tarts Bowl this December.

Morgantown, WV – The Mountaineers may not have played this weekend, but this hasn’t kept analysts from moving them up their bowl projections.

Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach of ESPN have revealed their latest bowl projections following a wild week 6. West Virginia, who is currently in 2nd place in the Big 12, was featured by both in one of the premier Big 12 bowl games against teams from the ACC.

Bonagura and Schlabach both have the Mountaineers competing in the Pop-Tarts Bowl on December 28th in Orlando, Florida.

Bonagura has WVU taking on the Louisville Cardinals, and Schlabach has them going up against the Miami Hurricanes. Both teams are among the top teams in the ACC with the potential to reach the conference championship game.

The Mountaineers have a history with both Louisville and Miami from their Big East days.
