Morgantown, WV – After putting on a show for fans at the Gold-Blue Spring Game, Neal Brown and the Mountaineers gave fans even more to be excited for on Sunday morning. It had been speculated and even mentioned by Coach Brown that WVU will add some pieces through the transfer portal. This assumption is now a reality.
Dontez Fagan, a cornerback from Charlotte, has announced his intentions of transferring to West Virginia University.

Fagan has also spent time with Independence Community College and Central Oklahoma. During his one season with the 49ers, the Oklahoma native tallied 21 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception.
He joins a Mountaineer defensive backfield that is loaded with young talent. While it is uncertain what role that Fagan will play, fans can expect him to see the field at some point in 2024.
