Morgantown, WV – The excitement around the WVU Men’s Basketball team has been high after an incredible start to the season. One of the catalysts of this excitement was Tucker DeVries, son of Head Coach Darian DeVries.

This afternoon, fans were met with disappointing news regarding DeVries’ availability moving forward.

According to a press release from the school, Tucker DeVries will be OUT with an “upper body injury.”

Here is what Coach DeVries had to say about the injury, per the press release:

“After consulting with our team doctors and other medical professionals, they have ruled Tucker out indefinitely as he deals with an upper body injury…”

“We have a great bunch of guys in the locker room who I know will rally around him during his absence.”

DeVries’ injury will keep him out indefinitely. WVU takes on NC Central tonight in Morgantown.

Tucker DeVries transferred from Drake University prior to the 2024 season. So far this season, he has averaged 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists perf game. He has also shot 41.2% from the floor. His season-best output came against Arizona where he tallied 26 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds.
