With reports of Josh Eilert taking over as the interim head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers, the coaching staff will look very similar to last year’s with a few changes. Â
MORGANTOWN, West Virginia —Â According to Adam Zagoria, West Virginia has zeroed in on Josh Eilert and is expected to name him the next head coach of the Mountaineers as early as today.
With that said, Eilert is expected to sign a one-year deal as the interim head coach and then West Virginia University can re-evaluate the position after next season. This would keep the roster together and allow West Virginia to conduct a proper coaching search a year from now if Eilert doesn’t work out.
Here’s what the 2023-2024 coaching staff will likely look like for the upcoming season:
Josh Eilert, Interim Head CoachÂ
Ron Everhart, Associate Head Coach
DerMarr Johnson, Assistant Coach
Alex Ruoff, Assistant Coach
Jordan McCabe, Graduate AssistantÂ
