MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Yesterday, the West Virginia Mountaineers landed a commitment from the #1 quarterback in the state of West Virginia, Abe Fenwick, and today, his teammate at George Washington High School, Aiden Ellis, has also committed to play for the Mountaineers.
Ellis, a 6’5 280 pound offensive lineman from Charleston, West Virginia, chose to play for the Mountaineers as a preferred walk-on over offers from Marshall, University of Charleston, West Liberty and Appalachian State, among others.
Head coach Neal Brown said that he would make keeping in-state talent home a priority and it appears that he’s living up to that promise.
