BREAKING: Nicco Marchiol Will Make First Career Start Against Red Raiders

WVU Quarterback Nicco Marchiol will make his first career start against Texas Tech today.

 

Morgantown, WV – According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, WVU Quarterback Nicco Marchiol is expected to make his first career start today in the absence of Garrett Greene.

Greene, who was injured in WVU’s 17-6 victory over Pitt, was limited in practice all week. A final decision on his status will not be made until warmups.

Marchiol completed 6-for-9 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown against the Pitt Panthers. This will be his fifth-career appearance in the Gold & Blue.
