WVU Running Back C.J. Donaldson has been named to Doak Walker Award Watch List.
Morgantown, WV – Mountaineer Running Back C.J. Donaldson is expected to be the top dog in his position room in 2023. Following a season that saw him tally 526 yards on only 87 carries and 8 touchdowns, the Florida native has the potential to put together something special.
Earlier this morning, the Doak Walker Award, which goes to the nation’s best running back, released their preseason watch list. To the surprise of nobody, Donaldson found himself on the list.

Donaldson will have his first opportunity to make his case for the award when WVU travels to Penn State on September 2nd. Kickoff is set for 7:30 on NBC.
