Current WVU Player: “We Should All Be Staying Together”

The Voice of Morgantown spoke to an anonymous player today who said that he believes the team will remain together.

MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — The West Virginia Mountaineers lost their legendary head coach and now, there are rumors that several players could be leaving as well.

However, according to a current member of the basketball team who asked to remain anonymous, that will not be happening. The player said the following when asked who he expects to leave the team: “We should all be staying together.”

Although this is just one player’s opinion on the matter, it’s an important glimpse into the thoughts of players on the team right now. According to NCAA officials, West Virginia players have a 30 day window to transfer after Bob Huggins announced his resignation. It’s critical that the Mountaineers get a head coach in place soon to convince as many players as possible
