Morgantown, WV – It has been a big last few days for the Mountaineers. After landing two defensive backs through the transfer portal in as many days, Jordan Lesley will now have one of the most talented players in the FCS on his defense.
According to multiple reports, WVU has landed a commitment from Gardner-Webb’s Ty French.
French, an FCS All-American, adds depth to a Mountaineer defensive line that was desperately in need of experience. In 2023, he tallied 122 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries.
