MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — Moments ago, West Virginia basketball put out a press release on their social media account, revealing that starting center Jesse Edwards will miss approximately four weeks due to a fractured right wrist.
The press release said the following: West Virginia University fifth-year senior center Jesse Edwards will miss approximately four weeks due to a fractured right wrist, men’s basketball coach Josh Eilert announced today. Edwards will have surgery this week.
Edwards is averaging 14.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, starting all 10 contests at center.”
Another huge loss for the Mountaineers, who appeared to be turning the corner with the additions of RaeQuan Battle, Noah Farrakhan and Kerr Kriisa back in the lineup.
