Morgantown, West Virginia – Former West Virginia Mountaineers Taz Sherman and Derek Culver were both selected in the 1st round of the 2022 G League Draft.
Taz Sherman, who averaged 13 points per game for the Mountaineers last season, was picked 19th overall by the Long Island Nets, an affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets.
Long Island Nets have taken Taz Sherman, a 6'4" 3-and-D wing out of West Virginia with the 19th pick in the G League Draft. He averaged 13 ppg last year for the Montaineers.

Former West Virginia forward Derek Culver was also selected in the 1st round, going 26th overall to the Delaware Blue Coats, an affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Both players were outstanding contributors for West Virginia and hopefully today puts them one closer to them fulfilling their dreams of one day playing in the NBA!
