
MORGANTOWN, West Virginia — The West Virginia Mountaineers play host to the Texas Tech Red Raiders in their Big 12 season opener and they will do so without the services of their starting quarterback, Garrett Greene.
Greene, who suffered an ankle injury last week in the 1st quarter against Pitt, will not start the game today for the Mountaineers and will only be used in “emergency situations.” Instead, West Virginia will turn to redshirt freshman Nicco Marchiol to lead the team.
Greene arrived at the stadium today and appeared to still be slightly limping. Check out the video of Greene below:
