WVU Offers In-State Receiver

Morgantown, WV – Since his arrival in 2019, WVU Head Coach Neal Brown has made it a priority to retain top in-state talent through recruiting. So far, the Mountaineers have landed virtually every major recruit to come from the Mountain State in each of the last five recruiting cycles.

It now appears that Brown is making another effort to land a potentially game-changing West Virginia prospect.

Princeton’s Dominick Collins, a 5’10” wide receiver/defensive back for the Tigers, announced earlier this evening that he has officially received a scholarship offer from WVU.

The 2024 prospect from Southern West Virginia was named the 2023 MetroNews Player of the Year, and helped lead his Tigers to a runner-up finish in the AAA State Playoffs.

Collins finished the 2023 season grabbing 83 passes for 1,897 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also added 124 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground. In a breakout performance against Bridgeport in the State Playoffs, Collins grabbed 9 passes for 330 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Fairmont State, Concord, Shepherd, Glenville State, University of Charleston, and West Virginia State have also extended offers to him.
