WVU Set to Play in Biggest Road Game Since 2018

The Mountaineers are set to take on 7th-ranked Penn State this Saturday night.

Morgantown, WV – When West Virginia travels to Happy Valley this Saturday, they will be participating in their biggest road game since the 2018 season.

The last time the Mountaineers played a ranked opponent in front of a crowd of more than 100,000 was on November 3, 2018. A game that many WVU fans remember as one of the best in the program’s history.

That day, the Mountaineers took down the 17-ranked Texas Longhorns by a final score of 42-41, on Will Grier’s two-point conversion with only seconds left.

Can West Virginia repeat history when they take the field against the Nittany Lions this Saturday? Only time will tell.

Fans can find out for themselves when the matchup kicks off at 7:30 on NBC.
