
The Mountaineers have lost another player to the NCAA Transfer Portal in Jose Perez.
Morgantown, WV – Moments ago, WVU Guard Jose Perez announced his intentions to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Perez, a 6’5 guard from Bronx, New York, spent the 2022-23 season with the Mountaineers, but did not play due to the NCAA denying his waiver. He becomes the 4th player to leave the team following the resignation of Bob Huggins.
Previous to his commitment to West Virginia, Perez averaged 18.9 points, 4.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game at Manhattan, earning First Team All-MAAC honors.
